What rocks your world?
My whole world is words! Over the years I have worked as a BBC producer, presenter, writer and celebrity stylist, and now I am adding a jewellery designer into my mix!
How did Attitude of You start?
I started making word jewellery a few years ago and after Covid I wore a few necklaces and bracelets on video shoots, stacking up different words depending on how I felt, it was just for fun. Everyone noticed and asked if I could make some for them too, so I did. I never did any marketing or advertising, I was just designing stuff for friends and family. This year we have had so many orders and so I have launched the Attitude of You website.
What’s your style?
My style has been the same for years really and I am too old to change it now! A bit of rock and roll, a bit of LA 90s grunge, some horse riding gear and a bit of English gothic fancy thrown in the mix. Sounds a total mess but it always works for me!
Where are you based?
I run a video production company that is based in London and the Cotswolds and I teach business owners and equestrians how to get ahead with smartphone video. I guess everything I do is about communication and so having this studio now making the jewellery designs feels a natural extension of word fun rather than a whole new venture.
What inspires you?
Talking! New ideas, conversations, chatting with friends, books, TV, listening to great speakers, podcasts, it is all about the way we communicate for me.
Who wears your designs?
A lot of people in TV and video for sure, a few celebs and a lot of equestrians. Our glasses chains are also now being stocked in the Kings Road at Auerbach & Steele, and there are a few other cool retailers I am talking to who want to stock our stuff.
Where is the studio?
The Attitude of You studio is based in the Cotswolds. I am lucky to be based in a wonderful part of the country and have a small local team. We all have a lot of laughs, views over the countryside, and when not working we can be found hanging out with horses.
